The Peace Idea was formed to teach and promote peace to children and youth that will help them thrive as individuals, and thus strengthen their family and community life. TPI focuses primarily on children who live or have lived in areas of conflict, disaster, or a post-traumatic environment – all of which often result in the most vulnerable living in poverty. Teens participate in workshops that promote inclusion, diversity, reconciliation, and peace building.
Programs and activities are designed to bring children together to learn through participation the ideals that lead to a more peaceful world: respect, sharing, tolerance, communication, diversity appreciation, and the inherent dignity of all persons.
